Cars: 1960 Porsche 356B T5 to Super-90 spec RHD

We are happy to have acquired this T5-bodied RHD 356B Super, with its period registration and in its original Aetna blue with black. The car was delivered to AFN in late-1960. At some point – possibly very early in its life – it was uprated with the running gear of a Super 90 of a similar vintage, including a 616/7 engine, matching gearbox, camber bar and a correctly calibrated rev counter. In all but name, it became, and remains, a Super 90. 18/4

Cars: 1967 RHD Porsche 911 ex-Betty Haig

A pleasure to source BLH 7, the ex-Betty Haig 1967 RHD Porsche 911 for a knowledgeable and appreciative new owner. Haig bought the car new and owned it for more than ten years. She made few changes beyond asking Dickie Stoop to advise on suspension set-up.The most striking thing about the car now is its exceptional condition and originality. The paint is original – with the odd slightly carefree touch-in – and the interior looks hardly used. The speedo shows an exceptionally low, but believable, total of less than 25,000 miles. 1/4

Places: The Tyrrell Woodshed, Goodwood

Good to see the famous Tyrrell woodshed preserved and relocated to Goodwood Motor Circuit. A modest, but historically important, building that housed the team that won three F1 World Championships in the late-1960s and early-1970s - first as Matra and subsequently as Tyrrell - with Jackie Stewart at the wheel. 22/3

Places: Goodwood Motor Circuit

Even on a grey autumn day, Goodwood manages to look special. The leaves were falling by the time we dropped in, but there were still plenty of shapes and colours on view. 19/11

Cars: 1966 Porsche 906

We are honoured to have been gifted a small photo archive belonging to the late Peter Bulbeck. Peter started working at AFN in the 1960s and rose through the ranks to become a director of Porsche Cars Great Britain. An accountant by trade, he was also an enthusiast. We will return to his pictures - for now, a couple of press shots for the Porsche 906. 26/10

Bikes: 1979 Ducati 900 GTS

Ducati’s 900 GTS is a late-1970s large-capacity sports tourer. A distinctive-looking bike with a comfortable riding position and electric start unlike the more celebrated Super Sport models of the same era. This rare UK-supplied example has the ignition and engine upgrades fitted to the last few and is freshly back from a comprehensive overhaul at the Classic Bike Workshop. A very usable machine and something of a well-kept secret. 4/10

Places: Knockhill Circuit, Fife

Less than 20 miles north and a bit west of the Queensferry Crossing is Knockhill - Britain’s most northerly racing circuit and the only one to runs both clockwise and anti-clockwise. It’s quite a technical challenge and the lap, though relatively short, is demanding on car and driver. The Chevrolet Impala is Ed Foster’s ex-Dan Gurney race car. Lots of history. 28/9

Races and places: Goodwood Revival

Not racing this time - and sorry to be missing a competitive-looking all-early 911 Fordwater Trophy - but looking forward to wobbling round each morning on our 1966 BMW R69S and pleased to provide our 1965 RHD Porsche 911 as course car again. Car and bike expertly prepped by Perfection Valet. Give me Goodwood on a summer’s day and all that! 2/9

Journeys and Places: Crinan, Argyll

Lovely to be back in Crinan recently for a short stay at the eponymous Hotel. A great place to get away from it all. The lighthouse marks the entrance to Crinan Loch and the formidable and ancient building across from the Hotel is Duntrune Castle - the still-occupied centre of a large estate and so nearly the setting for Skyfall. 1/9

Bikes: 1978 Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans

The Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans is a capable and sporty cafe racer from the mid- to late-1970s with rider-friendly features such as an electric start. We were pleased recently to acquire this nicely restored late Mark 1 repainted in white, as a small number of continental European-supplied bikes were in period. 11/8
