More Daytona 1967

Peter Gregg's class win in the season-opening 1967 Daytona Trans-Am - see the separate post on the subject - was celebrated in a Porsche Panorama piece in March of the same year. The article suggests Gregg had sold the car, but borrowed it back for the race. The prep seemingly consisted of a straight-through exhaust and re-jetted carbs with 150 mains, a 100 litre tank, Koni shocks and a rear anti-roll bar, a limited slip diff, 6 inch American Racing rims and CDI ignition. The car reportedly produced just over 140bhp. For the next round at Sebring, Gregg was already proposing to run a more modified engine with 911S-type components.
