2000 Porsche 911 GT3
Rare model. A raw and involving drive

Introduced just over twenty years ago, the GT3 was the first high performance derivative of the new 996 series. The car was powered by a 360 bhp, 3.6 litre engine that shared components with the GT1 race car. It quickly established itself as a driver’s favourite and was EVO magazine’s car of the year. One of the most exciting Porsches ever, in their words. The first series was built for two years and only 100 or so RHD examples came to the UK. In time, there was a second series with an RS variant and that pattern has continued since.

This is a late 2000-built UK-spec first series car with just over 42,000 miles recorded and five previous owners. In silver with a black Comfort interior, it has been extremely well-maintained, with a stamped-up service book and an exemplary maintenance record at the dealer network and recognised specialists under the current ownership. The first series GT3 provides a raw and involving drive. With limited production numbers, particularly in RHD, there are relatively few low-mileage and well-maintained examples such as this one around.
